Eligibility for GST REGISTRATION
Turnover above 20 lakh
To comply with the GST regulations, businesses that operate in India and have a supply of goods or services that exceeds Rs. 20 lakh need to obtain GST registration. However, if the business operates exclusively in the North Eastern states, the threshold limit for obtaining GST registration is Rs. 10 lakh.

Central GST (CGST)
Central GST (CGST) refers to the tax imposed by the Central Government on the supply of goods and services within a particular state (Intra-state) where the supplier and the consumer are located in the same state. This results in two taxes being levied, one by the State Government and the other by the Central Government. Therefore, the tax charged by the Central Government is identified as Central GST.
State GST (SGST)
